It’s the age old story…
Back in 2022, five buddies found themselves sitting around thinking, “We should start a band.” And as history repeats itself, a band was indeed born. With already existing musical chemistry from playing in various bands together in high school, these boys picked up their instruments, cracked a beer, and the rest was history.
Bush League pays homage to all of the beloved minor leagues out there. Music catered to those like us, this one goes out to those of y’all with champagne taste on a bud-heavy budget. Now Tucson based, these Northern Arizona kids come from mismatched musical backgrounds. Through the thoughtful amalgamation of these styles, Bush League forges the heavy psychedelic noise scapes and jivey choruses that define their style. The league consists of Liam Cashmore on bass, Karson Trainor on drums, Jackson Ells on sax and keys, and Dylan Walker and Canyon Willis-Green both on guitar. Don’t let the name fool you, Bush League is major league.
In May of 2024, Bush League released their debut EP, “Ain’t It Somethin;” a curious blend of the bands soul, funk, indie and jam influences. To celebrate this milestone, the band kicked off their first ever tour, with dates throughout Arizona and New Mexico. In the summer of 2025, the boys are hitting the road again for a longer and more ambitious stretch, descending into the beast that is Colorado.
Bush League has shared the stage with up-and-comers in the jam scene such as Dogs in a Pile and Eggy, and preformed at festivals such as Flagstaff Hullabaloo and June Jam. Sign up for our mailing list for the latest updates on all things Bush!
